People always seem to worry about only showing the "good" side of themselves. That would mean that they aren't being 100% true. How much can you show? Would you show your bad side as often as your good side? Even if someone does show their "bad side" as often as their good side, people around them would call them a bitch. I hear people say Oh, wow he's so ugly. I wouldn't date him. But then they turn around and tell other people, "I only care about personality."
Yeah, right.
Every person has their own standards. The shallow standards--high standards-- mostly comes from media, Hollywood, magazines, fashion models, actors, actresses, Barbie, and everything else. Girls are wicked. I would know, I am one.
Girls are bitches, once again, I know because I am one. But guys are jerks too. I know, because I've dated plenty of them, friends with plenty of them, and so on and so forth. If every person actually cared about a person, completely by their personality, I think the world would be 150% better. But there are those girls, or guys, who seem to always set the standard. Whether they're on the A-list, or the Z-list, doesn't matter. People will always set the standard to beauty. How much to be qualified as beautiful, handsome. But I can't create this pseudo-reality of hoping that one day the society's beauty standards would change for the better. Until I see a average, or "fat" person on the front page of a top fashion magazine, I won't be satisfied.

there are people who manipulate their personality to fit certain circumstances as well. finding idealities and making them into reality is impossible in this world, or at least it seems like that to me. if you find a way around it let me know. ;T
